I've been seeing this image everywhere on Facebook and Reddit, and I thought it is funny. I looked up the origin of the image and I found it here:

Thank you u/Eljefe900 on Reddit for this image.
This was a tough month of writing. Work is the most hectic in the summer, and writing is hard to do consistently on a daily basis. I have times when I wrote three poems a day, or where I didn't write for five days. Even figuring out the topic for the month was difficult, which started out as "nerd stuff." However, through difficulty, I think I have some paths to follow.
The focus of this month eventually became "games": video games, game shows, or card games. The above image references Magic: The Gathering which I played in my early college years. The image above reminds me of my crass sense of humor and taste then, and how it's not so different now. I always liked a dirty joke or reference.
Funnily enough, I think the set of poems I wrote based on "games" don't have a humorous tempo. Sometimes I think I write a humorous poem, then it's a lot more serious than I thought and vice versa.
ex. poem from this month:
Radical DreamersFor tonight, let’s forget about meaning. Give in to hyperbole enough to amplify litotes: the hitched breath upon my hand grazing the side of your body, the way your back tries to slide further into me to feel the most of my chest. Don’t hear my iambs. Please. Let’s just continue to where I’m in control on how I construct my lines. Enjambment feeling out of place; we can’t differentiate space as minutes or hours.
